Let's look at this from the "Mozilla Perspective".
Why not have 0.2.9 listed as a "Developer Release", or
"Networking Preview Release"?
Well, I don't really care how it's called. Just plain 0.2.9 would be fine
with me though.
As has been said, not much has changed to the end user
from 0.2.8
There have been huge advances in PnP, Firefox has very visible advanced, I'm
sure I can come up with more stuff if I bothered to look through the
commits. If you think that's "not much" I'm wondering what you consider
"much" :-).
