I'm not asking anyone to upgrade. I don't mind having to fix compiling 
issues, although it's sometimes a bit annoying.

I think it'd be best if we ported GCC ourselves, so we don't have to 
depend on mingw. They have been behind for a long time. Porting GCC to 
windows should be a lot easier since 4.x because most mingw patches are 
already included in the main gcc source base.
