They should be deleted. If not, then I've made a mistake.
Did you prune empty directories?
I run CVS (Tortoise) with these parameters (I never took care of it,
until you asked):
"D:\App\TortoiseCVS\cvs.exe" "-q" "update" "-d"
"-P" "."
It prunes (-P) empty directories, unless it is a bugged release (I'll
check it).
