Wine don't have a mspcp60.dll, so how are they doing it?
Are they also resorting to using the Windows dll?
Yes.

If so this seems rather strange as there are so many
other
ways of downloading and running the mozilla control installer.
As far as I know, all of them end up with the same binary,
MozillaControl1712.exe. The problem is that the mozctl.dll in there was
compiled with MSVC6 and therefore refers to msvcp60.dll, but by accident
msvcp70 (the MSVC .Net version) was packaged in the installer instead.
