If ReactOS already correctly recognizes your USB controllers this
might work as well (maybe you should try the LiveCD to check whether
USB storage devices are correctly recognized).

My USB hard drive is 3.0 and 3 TB, so accessing requires USB 3.0 and GPT support.
I have an old 1.2 GB IDE hard drive that can be accessed from SATA system using
USB 2.0 IDE/SATA hard-drive enclosure, as well as USB sticks.
I wouldn't want to do heavy compiling on a USB stick, but could use MinGW directly
on either FreeBSD or Linux, or with Wine.
I downloaded and burned the installation CD image for 0.3.15, but it failed to boot.
