It would seem to me that a stable release of ReactOS should be mature
enough to implement its own native installer, it will have quality fat
drivers and a good partition manager, it seems more likely that these
alpha releases with broken installers would benefit from the cross
installer you propose.

The feedbacks were encouraging, some even
complimented the boot splash image shown in the site.
I am planning to go ahead with the cross-installation
method now, as I don't know whether ReactOS is aiming
at supporting other file systems, in future.
If it works out, then by the time we announce the
stable release, we can have a pretty good installer in
place, capable of installing ReactOS without
disturbing the existing partitions.
