To clarify i mean OS X and perhaps even os 9. I know about darwin but i was wondering if there was an os x clone out there. Reactos is a version of windows as this clone will be an open-source version of os x or os 9.
- MacOS X is darwin with cocoa. Cocoa is really just openstep with a pretty face, so GNUstep is essentially a cocoa clone, minus the very new stuff. - A version of MacOS has always been free (as in beer) with a macintosh computer and MacOS 7.5.3 is free (as in beer) to anyone. - Classic MacOS is like a big complicated version of dos. If you start at the first documented Line-A trap, and keep going until the last, you'll have a clone of MacOS. You can even patch your running MacOS version with your new partial MacOS clone to see if it's compatible.
