I've done this. Pretty much all changes to ntoskrnl are just due to
renamed types/fixed structures and very few changes of prototypes. I
haven't found any changes that would change the logic of some code.
Please, apply the patch and test the resulting system
(if it boots, of
course).
So far I haven't encountered regressions.
