we can use ext2ifs, which is GPL and works under NT4, 5, 5.1, 5.2 http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/ext2ifs.htm
There is an ext2 branch with winext2fsd on it. That's the one I and Filip have done some work on.
