Hi,
How much work would it take to support a soundcard in ReactOS? I would like to use it to help me reverse engineer a sound card to get it working in Linux.
Kind Regards
James
Hello,
We once had NT4 sound drivers (at least the SB16 driver) working under ReactOS. But as our current target is a NT5-compatible sound architecture, we dropped the old NT4 sound driver model from ReactOS. And as far as I know, there is still much work needed to get NT5 sound drivers working.
It would be the best if you ask Andrew Greenwood (silverblade) on the #reactos IRC channel about this. He currently implements the sound architecture.
Best regards,
Colin Finck
