Hi everybody,
Looking at http://www.reactos.org/pipermail/ros-diffs/2010-August/038197.html and the same message in Thunderbird, I now see a need to automatically truncate all subject lines in ros-diffs' mails to 200 characters. I don't think that anybody reads the full commit messages through subject lines, so 200 characters should be enough to identify a commit easily.
If there are no objections, I'll try to change this in the next few days.
Cheers,
Colin
Hi! I believe gmail does the same too.

Oh... I didn't see that someone already raised that topic :D
I'd appreciate it, because I weren't able to view the message Timo wrote without clicking "reply" so that I could see the quoted message.

What some systems do is just take the first line of the commit message as the subject. If the first line is just a brief summary and the lengthy explanation follows on another line, this works well.

For your information, a maximum subject length of 200 characters has been enabled as of today.
