Question about east asian language support

Hello, everyone.
Since I'm new to this mailing list, I may ask stupid questions, so
don't be mad at me. ;-)
I was trying to get the status of east asian language support, but
couldn't find it in the wiki.
Could someone tell me some brief status about east asian support?

Hi,
I think you are asking about  language pack support. We do not support
that yet. I can write the interface for gdi and plug it in, if someone
can start testing for it. We have a halfway working right to left font
character placement layout. I guess the question is, based on
priorities, when will we get to it and what would be the status of the
demand. We can add additional rc files as a stop gap until the support
becomes available.

If you add the interfaces and gdi, I can do the test.
though I don't want to mess-up the priority of the deleopment ;-)
I can wait until you are available.
or maybe I can start something by myself.
