Rex will announce when CVS is made read-only on the 30th.

If the conversion runs smoothly then SVN might be ready
sometime on 31st otherwise it will be ready on January 1st.
I will announce when it is ready.

I will mark the repository readonly in the morning or early afternoon, 
pacific time,
on the 30th. roughly between 10am and 2pm PST.

I tested the SVN server with TortoiseSVN running on Windows XP SP2: no problem.
