The conversion process has begun. I expect it to take about 30 hours to complete.
I have tagged CVS HEAD with the tag "SVN".

Uh, 30 hours? What exactly is happening during this conversion process that makes it take that long?

If I understand properly it replays the CVS commits to maintain a full revsion history. There are something like 18,000 commits for the past 7 years or so.

Well creating the dump file is only 6 hours, but then there is the preparations, the rsync'ing, the loading of the dump file and me needing sleep once in a while and taking account for any unforseen problems. Had I said 20 hours and not being done by that I would have gotten about 20 what-went-wrong questions the minute that time had passed.
Here is some statistics:
Total CVS Files: 15743 Total CVS Revisions: 76900 Total Unique Tags: 92 Total Unique Branches: 47 CVS Repos Size in KB: 214760 Total SVN Commits: 12413 First Revision Date: Tue Jan 23 02:02:17 1996 Last Revision Date: Thu Dec 30 21:24:20 2004
