Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know that Wineconf 2009 is going to be held in Holland on Nov 6-8th. I am of course planning on attending and Fireball said that he might as well. If any ReactOS developers are interested in going and don't have the resources, speak up and perhaps some of the users and advocates that follow ReactOS development would be willing to contribute $5 or $10 to the Foundation on your behalf.
Information (what little there is currently) is here: http://wiki.winehq.org/WineConf2009
The ReactOS foundation Donation page is here http://www.reactos.org/en/foundation_donate.html
Also while there has been some heated exchanges with Wine and ReactOS developers in the past, we do get quite a lot in terms of code from them so if your interested in helping them out, you can donate to the Wine Development Fund, which will help pay for Wine developers to attend. The donation link is on the main page of Winehq.org
Thanks
Twente University is relatively close to where I live (Almere). Then again everything is 'close' here in the Netherlands :P Since it's still some time from now I can't say for sure whether I'll attend or not, but it's tempting since it's in my country :)

Great, less than two hours by car from here :-) Unless something serious gets in my way by then, I should have time to meet up with you.
Best regards,
Colin
Are we going to outperform Wine by number of visitors? :-)

So... who's going? and are you staying for a day or two after the conference or otherwise planning something for our "inner circle"? A little... scheduling conflict happened for me, and now I'm not sure if I'll go (I'll miss half of Saturday)
I'll go. And I'll plan something for the inner circle too ;-) I hope I get 48 bottles of beer in my bag :-P

I still attempt to go, but could only stay there for the weekend. However, I'm not sure whether the costs would be affordable for me. Did everybody recently visit http://wiki.winehq.org/WineConf2009 again and thus, is aware of the 155 Euros for a Saturday night and meals at the conference hotel?
And well, if enough ReactOS developers are coming, we should indeed plan something about ReactOS for the conference ;-)
Best regards,
Colin
I dont know our recent financial situation, but maybe we can partially finance the Devs Costs to get and stay there over the donations.

The Italian treasury of the ReactOS project currently holds the vertiginous sum of €8.50 in donations
I am not going to be able to make it due to scheduling conflicts but have been in discussion with Fireball about his ability to attend.
