Hi all,
Looking at https://verein.ing-diba.de/sonstiges/33378/reactos-deutschland-ev, we have scored the 810th place in the tough competition and just won 1000 EUR for the foundation! :-)
Even if we lost our position in the top of the list, comparable German Open-Source foundations like KDE e.V. or Free Software Foundation Europe are both out of the game.
I'd like to use this opportunity to thank every voter for the great support towards the project! Over 8000 votes in four weeks really shows that we still have a huge fan base.
Best regards,
Colin

Let's get ReactOS to real home computers!!!
Cheers!!!

Thank you people for every your vote! The competition was tough, and I feel proud that our community is big enough to make it into Top 1000. Even that the final place is not as great as we wanted to, but most of the time we were in Top-100 and even in Top-10, so we still have something to be proud of!

1000 EUR for 810 place? What did first place get, a bailout sum equivalent from Germany?

The first 1000 places get the same sum each - 1000 EUR. The task was to stay within the first 1000 places - keep in mind our top position was place 6.

Nah they got the total sum of all greece's taxes, or also 1000 euro, whichever is more :p
First 1000 all get 1000 euro each so total sum of 1M. Enjoy finding a goal for it, being it new hardware, hosting costs, a bounty program or whatever :)
That's great news :) I'm glad I could pitch in a bit too with my vote.
So what's the money going to be used for? Hosting costs? :)
