Status: mshta???

I was looking at reactos control panels and was wondering if there  
was any MS HTA or something like it embedded. I was thinking that  
XUL, Firefox, and Mozilla could be integrated into the Explorer and  
other things to dynamically update the interface of Reactos.  
Something like Apple's Safari RSS Reader, and Explorer's (XP)  
Sidebars with common tasks and utilities.

Sort of... Never really was into Active Desktop but it is great for  
displaying jpegs on the desktop. I want to write an explorer that is  
about the same as XPs. I want it to be able to use AJAX really but be  
able to interact with Explorer through Javascript via XUL. Even  
deleting files and such. This will also allow Explorer to do some  
extra things like display thumbnail images, read deeper into a  
folders contents and provide a metadata engine. I was even thinking  
of adding an embedded mysql server that would allow users to add  
metadata to folders, files, and file system objects. This metadata  
would be stored in a hidden folder on the root of the hard disk much  
like XPs VolumeInformation folder. I think this would be a great  
method to getting reactos to compete with Windows. Also I want it to  
be able to be customized using XML files... Not sure how to go about  
starting really. But I was also thinking this would allow someone to  
work on a konfabulator or Dashboard and Expose type feature to  
reactos (When the system is more stable and faster)...

In priniciple, mshta is an app that hosts an IWebBrowser with different
default security model than IE and a few nice hacks for titlebars and
icons.

Having a free mshta might encourage use of this IMO underrated way to
write simple windows apps.
