Hi all
A new proposed frontpage for reactos.com can be found here: http://reactos.com/newsite/reactos_index.html
None of the links go anywhere yet. ezPublish will be phased out and most of the content hosted in a wiki (editable only by people trusted in the project).
The wiki/forums/blogs would require a bit of a face-lift so as to look similar.
Comments?
Cheers Jason

Look nice. I really like it, but I would suggest adding some kind of padding around the black titles.

Hi I do not like the new front page. it is hard for new people find info. hard to see the link you are seaching and info. it is not good design. and easy to use.

I like it, simple and straight forward.

I'm up for anything that will move toward a change from the existing site.
I do however think the proposed front page lacks a bit of sparkle. Something that's fancy and pretty with some nice quirky features is always a good thing fro websites in my book.
However I do understand some people also like the plain and simple look.
Regards, Ged.

We need to keep it as small as possible to better handle the slashdot effect. This is also why it's a plain html page generated every 15 minutes or so.

Makes sense. Hopefully we can move to a larger pipe in the future as ROS becomes more popular

Does the webserver have the gzip plugin? Compressed static webpages load fast.

The pipe is fine. The box is the one having trouble keeping up during high traffic.
Casper
How about a few mirrors? I can host one :)

http://cvs.reactos.comcgi-bin//wiki/wiki.old used to be it, but it seems that it's gone too.
