Hello!
I have registered on main site, because I want to login to JIRA, but JIRA says now that my login is incorrect. Does it need some time to make JIRA accout accessible after registration? Or I need to do some actions? Do I need to request account for JIRA separately?
It takes a day or so for the credentials sync to happen due to the way we have accounts linked.

It happens instantly if that "login linkage" is working. Alas, occasionally it stops working and needs a restart, so hence the problems and time related to that. I'm not sure, maybe we restart it once per day, so that's why Z's "a day or so" measurement.

Hi,
No is doesn't work instantly, because of ODBC layer in OpenLDAP server which acts like a cache. slapd is so rebooted 4 times to a day to allow propagation of account changes to the LDAP.
So, if you kindly as me, I can reboot the server to fasten the process.
There is NO NEED to post on a mailing-list just to ask for something PERSONAL. Contact me either by email (my address is easy to find...) or on IRC for such issues.
With my best regards,

So that is worth mention somewhere on wiki, if it won't change in future. I am asking, because on this page [1] I found words "You can login, using your ROS website credentials" that looked confusing, when I failed to login.

I hope the involved website people here agree that this is definitely a bug that needs to be fixed. Either by getting the LDAP bridge to work properly or (even better) by reimplementing a Single Sign-On system on top of Drupal for all our subsystems like we had for RosCMS. I don't belive that's less manageable than our current buggy LDAP bridge.

It's certainly a bug, but we'd need to find someone to actually implement a drupal module that would redirect user registration and authentication to the ldap server. The existing modules out there are either stale or completely out of date.
