Hello everyone,
I am a Masters student and want to do the GSoC with this organization this summer. I have gone through the list and found some projects domain interesting but I couldn't research in the depth of the project due to resource and time constraint at the moment.
I have some professional background in working with embedded software development (mostly C programming), networking stacks and an RTOS porting. Did some work in Linux development as well. I will be thankful if someone can guide me chose the best suitable project that is beneficial for myself and the organization at the same time. Currently, I have a look at following projects:
Bluetooth Stack Integrating SMB into ReactOS Kernel mode test suite WebKit-based MSHTML implementation Support for the GPT Partitioning Scheme Taskbar Shell extensions
If someone is interested in mentoring anyone of the above project, I will be happy to talk more on that and submit a timely proposal.

from your list I'd be the likely mentor for at least the KMTest project. Other projects might be supported by Pierre, Giannis or others.
To help pick your project I'd suggest you let us know more about your interests and skills, as these are probably the most important factor. A real-time discussion on IRC might be most fruitful for this purpose, so feel free to join us in #reactos-dev. If that's not an option, we could alternatively discuss here or in private e-mail. Various devs may also have opinions on the sizes of the different projects as well as their importance to ReactOS**, so feel free to ask us about these privately.
If you haven't done so yet: a good start for any newcomer is to download, build, and run ReactOS, and to create an account for Jira and browse through the tickets a little.
