Hello I am new here what are the system minimum specs as I have old system for
development.
My dad says I get the old system at the ent of my school if I get good grades it has
ubuntu 11.10 but it is slow I like to call it u-slow-os 1.6.

Something like 128MB of RAM, and a Pentium I or better processor and
you're good.

A development machine (one that can build ReactOS and test in a VM) should have decent
specs. You're going to want at least a dual-core, preferably 4 or more cores to get
anything built in decent time. To give you some numbers, my Core i5-2500K @ 4.1 GHz an 8
GB of RAM can build ReactOS in around 10 minutes. My laptop's 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo with

Diablo (windows-based builder) is a 1st generation i7-920 with 12GB DDR3. Building is done
on SSD OCZ Vertex3, with storage on RAIDed Samsung Spinpoint F3. Both SSD and RAID are
connectec via LSI MegaRAID pci express card. CPU is bit weaker than Cameron's but it
profits from faster memory bus (mine is good old-fashioned triple channel vs newer
dual-channels). 

My i5 lappy takes around 30 minutes due to weak hdd. A Q6600 will probably take 40-50
minutes or more.
