If a student is currently taking, or has previously taken a course derived from the Microsoft Windows Academic Program
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/sharedsource/windowsacademic/default.mspx
which contains the curriculum resource kit, Windows Research Kernel (containing Windows XP x64 amd Server 2003 SP1 kernel sources) and Project OZ,
will they become *ineligible* to contribute code to the ReactOS project in the future?
Thanks!
Mark

We spoke on the Wine list. The answer here is a short no you won't be ineligible, and there is a more long winded answer. I still highly suggest you talk to the Software Freedom Law Center and the Samba project and let Wine and ReactOS know what you find. Make sure you ask if any sort of restriction ever expires.
Thanks
Hi, I'm interested in finding out too. But,,,,, We are still a GNU project and reject anything and everything SFLC/Codeweavers. Remember, they do not want us and like wise.
Thanks, James

Hi, We like to consider ourselves a free open source GNU project. Please reference http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/standards.html.gz#Reading-Non_002dFree-Cod..., just replace UNIX with Microsoft. We at ReactOS believe in fairness and forgiveness. Thanks, James
