I think ReactOS would finnally be recognized by slashdot if enough people
were submitting the same information. It may simply be a stubborness to only
post items that they belive are of interest to people. I would assume the best
way to do this would be to independantly submit the news to both slashdot and
newsforge. Don't just assume that someone else has already submitted, so just go
ahead and submit it again and this way it will finally show up on the
radar.
Another thing that may be interfering is that if the slashdot reviewers
didn't think the news submission was dorky/nerdy or otherwise not up to their
standard, they would most likely reject the article, even if the topic was
something they would normally post about. If you have ever submitted a story
once and later you see someone else made the posting for the same story, you can
probably assume they probably would choose the best one out of a list.
Perhaps a general strategy could be formulated so we can secure a
sufficient amount of attention.

Yes they seem to not be able to
understand that cloning windows is as
logical as cloning Unix.
I
have a major interview coming up that is worthy of being slashdotted
that
covers alot of the work we have done with WINE and ReactOS as well
as the
"why the hell do you want to clone Windows" discussion. It
should be posted
in a few days. Once it is up someone needs to submit
it to
slashdot.
Thanks
Steven
