Under Virtual PC 2007, ReactOS r24721 (as well as the last few over the last few days) simply do not boot.
Boot CD: Boots, installs under text mode, stops when switching to GUI mode, has ntoskrnl.dll error in debug mode Live CD: Never finishes booting.
Compiler: RosBE 0.3.1 (GCC 3.4.5)
Does it boot for anyone else? If so, I'll attempt to figure out a way to get it to boot.
Hi I have run VirtualPC 2-3 times. and I never got reactos booting with Virtual PC or some other OS with it.
I sugest you change to Qemu or VMWare for they are good emulator
VPC is like runing on broken hw. it have allot of bugs, example vbe 2.0/3.0 problem does not send back vaild info to the os in few case. what I known. Maybe it even got some others problem as well. As u notice I am not big fan of VPC. It cause more problem any emulator I known. and it is extreamly slow, use QEMU or VMWARE (VMWARE Server is free and working like the workstations version diffent is u can run more virtual machine same time, and connect to them from a another compuer if u like).

I've managed to get ReactOS to boot, install, and run on Virtual PC 2004, but it's so slow as to not worth running. This was with 0.3.0. Also, it's incredibly resource intensive for some odd reason. However, I have not attempted to try any of the recent SVN builds because they were broken for a while.

And you don't have shared folders and more than one snapshot. VMWare Server (free version) sucks.
Strange I don't see anyone mention Parallels, which unlike VMWare has VMX support already in the 32bit version.
Oliver
I'll try VMware Server. The strange thing is that only the SVN versions fail, the official 0.3.0 release works fine. Being the poor college student I am with a nice apartment and new car payment, its hard to afford the more nicer software :)

May the source be with you, stranger ;)

Well then try QEmu: it's free as in speech (well, mainly - qvm86 seems to have died), and it's pretty easy to use. And of course, you don't get the GUI overhead of VMware or Parallels or VirtualPC.
VMWare Server works fine :)
