I know.  I've been looking at Citrix, MultiWin, ICA, etc, ever since I came 
across this:

"Further Predictions: It is my hope that Avalon will eventually make it 
possible to run Windows software much "lighter" than the current Remote 
Desktop Protocol (RDP) and Independent Client Architecture (ICA) invented by 
Citrix. Long story short, RDP/ICA rely on MultiWin, first used by Citrix in 
NT 3.51 "Daytona" and NT 4.0 Terminal Server, then standard in NT5.0+. 
MultiWin virtualizes multiple GDI instances, which allows Windows programs 
(which normally require the single, _physical_ GDI hardware) to run -- and 
then be remotely displayed."

I was intrigued at the mention of MultiWin virtualizing thus multiplexing the 
GDI, and thus making NT a multiuser OS.

As you might expect, Citrix doesn't go into much detail about that - their API 
documentation's certainly a useful and pleasant read, but that's the one 
thing they don't touch upon.  However, Citrix's RDP/ICA server's something 
Microsoft "innovated" for Win2k3, and I've downloaded the SDK for that, so 
I'll be having a look at it as well.

I am going (not guaranteed I will succeed, though) to make win32k.sys 
"session" aware.  Acceptation of term "session" I used is uncommon, 
because it means a "user session fully managed by the CSR". This means 
making the CSRSS.EXE "session" aware too. As the first step in that path 
is splitting CSR core (CSRSS.EXE+CSRSRV.DLL) and Win32 server core 
(BASESRV.DLL+WINSRV.DLL), "session"s will be a facility free to use for 
any conforming server DLL.

If any hint from your investigations emerges, please post it here (full 
range accepted: from "crazy idea!" to "fantastic! I rewrote the csr last 
night...").
