I don't know who all has names in the race but my vote would be for Fireball. He has done quite a
lot of work helping on translation and international issues in ReactOS and I think with the
Russian Translation of the website and been helping others to translate ReactOS in to thier native
language.

Thats the only reason I didn't put your name on my list, not because of any lack for faith in your
ability and leadership.
My leaning still goes to Alex for his knowledge on the kernel. He and I have discussed what I view
to be attitude and professionalism (which I think we can agree most of us on IRC lack sometimes)
that the Kernel Cordinator needs to have. Because of the voting system we have some have also
suggested just not having a KC but I don't really think this is a good idea because sometimes we
need a point person to send patches to, direct media and new developer questions, and settle
disputes that cannot be fixed via voting.

This may not be related to a problem I'm having. I can not load cromwell
uhci driver. Ne2000 does load but unable to ping anything out side the box.
Both share irq 0xb or 11. I noticed we have apic and ioapic in 'mp'. How hard
would it be to port them over to 'up' for supporting uniprocessor. I could
try but the group mood ATM is fairly poor. Other words I would not like to
piss off anyone.
Using APIC would fix interrupt sharing problems and expand Ros to a higher
OS level.

ps I did disable hive loading for the ne2000 but since the board is still in
the box, I guess it's causing problems.
Here is the trace file from ncftp under ros... I hunted the error
down to something we are getting back from the system in sio/SWrite.c

Hi all
Vizzini has officially stepped down from the kernel coordinator
position. It's a pity that legalities and the nature of his business
have put him in this position. I've expressed our thanks for his input
and contributions to the project to Vizzini.
The kernel coordinator position will be up for vote for nominiated
candidates. This will only happen after the UI team has settled.
In case you're wondering, the project coordinator position, which I've
been sitting on for around 7/8 years now, will also be up for vote in
the near future. This will only happen once we've nailed down a
constitution for the project (and no, I'm not leaving the project,
just opening things up).

Due to a few unfortunate legal changes related to work that I can't
really avoid, I'm going to have to officially step down as the kernel
coordinator. I haven't had any time to work on the project lately
anyway, so it's probably better to just make it official. I've had a
blast working with you guys over the past couple of years, and I hope
to be able to contribute again some day.
I'll try to keep an eye on things in case there are questions that I
am needed for, but that doesn't seem to be happening too often.
Thanks again for letting me participate in the project. I'm sorry I
haven't been able to contribute more lately, and I wish I didn't have
to jump off the train completely, but such is life.

I've thought about this and I tend to agree. Like I said I am leaning towards one atm because I
know of only one that has any interest in the position but I want to hear from others about why
the would want to be or should be the KC. Once we have a list of people nominated perhaps it
should be secret ballot. Jason could even be our ballot box as he is currently 'cursed as the
cordinator' for the overall project.
