    [MKHIVE] Fix cases where 'rc' was used without being initialized.
    
    Fixes crashes when the tool is compiled with Run-Time Checks enabled.
    And thus should fix the MSVC buildbots!
    Thanks to Pierre for having brought this issue to me.
