Hi!
My committed patches do no longer appear on ros-cvs(a)reactos.com. The last
patch appeared on November 6th but I committed several patches since them.
Gé, Rex, could you have a look at your machines?
Regards,
Eric
We're now in code freeze for 0.2.5. That means that only fixes for
showstopper bugs will be allowed into the 0.2.5 branch and developers should
discuss their fixes on the mailinglist before committing.
0.2.5 RC2 is available from our SourceForge download page.
The official release for 0.2.5 will be tomorrow, just before the move to
SubVersion starts.

I also remember Linux Journal doing monthly tutorials on Bricolage
http://www.bricolage.cc
They seemed to love it and they were still running monthly tutorials on it
when my subscription ended in the summer.

On the back of Jason saying he was looking for a replacement CMS I've asked
about and trawled through the net with the following results. It may or may
not be of use.
WebGUI - http://www.plainblack.com/webgui
Appears to be very popular and was recommended by quite a few people.
Performance is very good as are the features it offers
Quick overview available here

Mambo - http://mamboserver.com/
Recommended by many people to me, and has glowing reports from all the sites
I visited. Certainly my favourite.
Quick overview available here
http://www.cmsmatrix.org/matrix?wid=2&func=viewDetail&listingId=1074
Confluence - http://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/
This was recommended to me by a friend. I am going only off his
recommendation.
I've looked at other websites that use it and it appears to be good,
although I don't have any performance statistics.
OpenCMS - http://www.opencms.org/opencms/en/
This was also recommended, but I wasn't overly impressed by it.
OpenSourceCMS - http://www.opensourcecms.com/
Overviews and statistics of many CMS' can be found here -

With most of the slashdotters gone again I thought it would be nice to share
some statistics.
The last day the website had around 46.000 visitors and served 1.800.000
requests. Load average went up to about 55 maximum and was between 20 and 35
most of the day. The webserver was set to handle a maximum of 110 clients at
a time and most of the time it was actually serving 110 clients.
All in all, I'm not unhappy. The site did slow down considerably, but it
didn't fall apart completely. If you were a bit patient you usually got in.

Hi Jason.
I'll ask about for any recommendations for a good CMS then.

It's the same now too. Seems to go slow when America wakes up, especially as
a lot of Americans use Slashdot.
What pipe is the website sat on? If it can't handle hits from big sites when
mentioned things will only get worse as ROS generates more interest.
