ROS installer scribbled over my ext2 partition :-(

Hi, I decided to give 0.2.6 another try on my hardware and tried to install it into a small fat32 partition (4th primary partition). The repartition program did not recognize too much of my partition structure but since I did not plan to change any partition I was not alert. Then I formatted the partition (simply using the existing fat fs did not work at all) and that did not work either. Unfortunately another partition was affected (it killed the root directory of my i386 (=32bit) linux partition /dev/hda6). I did not find any valuable data lost so far (after reconstructing the filesystem) ... So I suspect that not only the installer is buggy. reactos.com available again

Yesterday reactos.com crashed. Unfortunately, I was unable to go onsite to fix the problem yesterday. This morning, I rebooted the box and everything seems to be up and running again. It seems some mail sent to @reactos.com yesterday may have been dropped. Ge van Geldorp.

ReactOS 0.2.6 Released!

The 0.2.6 version of ReactOS is available for download from reactos.com! As always a new release brings increases in speed, stability and compatibility. The next release, 0.3, will feature many improvements - but most notably somewhat usable networking. Many thanks to all the developers that made this release possible. Regards Jason

Mouse Problem on 0.2.6 RC2 and Qemu

Hi Everyone, I just downloaded the 0.2.6 RC2 packaged with Qemu and gave it a try. On the first boot up everything seems fine as I go through the initial setup however after the reboot at the end of the setup the mouse acts very strange. Simply moving the mouse causes the cursor to jump around and act as if buttons were pressed. This appears to be an issue with the packaged version of Qemu as running with the 0.2.6 RC2 disk image under the version of Qemu included with 0.2.5 works fine. Also, I tried the disk image with Qemu 0.6.1 as downloaded from http://www.freeoszoo.org/download.php and did not have the problem. I am running on Windows 2000.
