I think getting a single networking app, such as cvs, running is sufficient
to warrant a release. Other apps will follow and I think holding back until
networking is complete is a waste of time. Getting some form of networking
working should generate interest in the project and may get those illusive
new developers to join in.
Please keep in mind that releases are mostly targeted at end-users and
to gain publicity. If we say networking works, but not one browser runs,
that will give bad publicity (by clueless people, i admit, but it will
nevertheless). Rather wait a bit longer and leave a good impression.
Developers can compile from CVS or use daily snapshots anyways.
