Has anyone done a UK English translation of ReactOS yet? As I'm from the UK, I'd prefer to see things like "colour" instead of "color", etc.
doable for the applications, since they usually don't contain large text blocks, forget it for the documentation - there would be way too much duplication. But, since this way we would end up translating two related items (an application and its documentation) in an inconsistent way, I say this should be limited to *really* important differences, or to differences that wouldn't cause inconsistencies (like localizing the "mailbox" icon - using a country-specific picture is usually harmless). That said, from a strictly formal point of view, I think UK English is the gold standard for the English language. Others are free to disagree
and obviously things like currency, etc. will need to be handled.
currency information is stored in the locale database (the Registry for custom settings, the locale.nls file otherwise), and *nowhere else*. I don't know if we already have it, though
