Apparently these apps rely upon some part of MSHTML, or perhaps the
Internet Settings included with MSIE.
You can do this under Windows and Wine by installing the mozilla
activeX control. I tested it with ReactOS explorer and it works to
embedded Gecko rather than MSHTML.
