The PDC build of Longhorn has "Computer", "Documents" and
"Network".
Apparently the Microsoft developers prefer these names, and the "My"
prefix on previous Windows versions was added later by marketing.

I'm not saying we should change it entirely, but

Just a preference really, but I've had 3 people agree that "My" is
un-necessary. It's no biggie, just wondered what everyone else thinks?

I don't see a good reason for not using the
familiar Microsoft
terminlogy in vanilla ReactOS. But ReactOS is open source so you can
create your own distribution and use whatever terminlogy you want.

Just a small request, after having to endure Microsoft's
attempts to make everything "mine".
Can we PLEASE not mirror Microsoft's:
- My Computer
- My Network Places
- My Documents
- My Pictures
- My Music
and so on.
Can we at least have "The Computer" "Network" "Documents"
etc. instead?
Something a little less selfish-sounding please!
May seem like a stupid request, but I have spent a long time
tweaking Windows to stop it from reminding me that my files
are, in fact, my files, along with anything anyone else in my
family save on my computer.
So, erm, can we get rid of all this "me me me", or at least
make it optional?
-Andrew
