Hi,
the AM79C970 is supported by this driver. A half year ago, there was a problem in the ndis driver. I bought a NIC (Allied Telesyn AT-2450T) with exactly the same chip set on ebay for 3.50€. The Installing of the driver was a little bit difficult, because the exact slot number must be add to the registry.

Check on www.vmware.com if this is the card VMWare emulates. If it is then you can use this driver on ReactOS: ftp://ftp.amd.com/pub/npd/software/pcnet_family/drivers/w2000_
mini5.exe
