Hello, How are video card drivers installed in ros. Do we just drop the dll's in \system32 and any sys files in \drivers.
I have down loaded the nt4 drivers for a S3virge DX card that I have, what do I do with them?
This is the list: Blocking.cfg - S3switch.dll - S3virge.dll - S3mini.sys - S3virge.inf
I also down loaded a little prog that finds the S3 chip used. This prog works in part in ros, it reports that you need admin privileges without displaying any data.
Regards jh
You have to find out which key under HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet belongs to yout card's driver and clone that to ROS.

Thanks for the reply. You have lost me there, I will have to wait until there is a driver installer in ros. Thanks, jh

Hi jh, I'm working on a setupapi stuff now, and you will be able to install these drivers relatively easy then, so please be patient for about a week and, if you have time and will, I'd like to test this stuff with you.
With the best regards, Aleksey Bragin.

OK Great, I can wait. I also have an Hercules 3D Prophet 2 mx card to try and a second computer with a ati rage 2 card.
Regards jh
Dont expect too much. Once we get easy driver installation going. Without a working Plug and Play manager your not going to get much to work other than a video card or two. I am seeing this problem on a few systems where devices I am testing are conflecting with other hardware under ReactOS and Windows Magic fixes it.
Thanks Steven

There are a couple of people working on it. Big job, though.
