floppy recognition

Hi,
        Should ros recognize floppy drives or is it broken, because ros does not find my
floppy drive.

I'm working on that very thing right now.  I should have this driver
done this week.

I'm curious will a FS be built into the Floppy driver, or will the floppy
drives request FS information from the OS and the OS then looks at the FS
drivers? this might come in handy when dealing with mac os or UNIX
computers...

Filesystems are not part of storage device drivers.  They sit on top of
them.
