I am runing vmware-4.5 workstation in Windoz-XP host. I installed reactos-0.2.2.iso in vmware on a 500Mb primary partition. The install completed fine. I removed the some of the components from reactos vm-machine (usb, sound, floppy and cdrom) and booted it:
- it presented the Freeloader V1.8.19 screen - on selecting either of the options, the messgae box displays.. The cpu has been disbled by guest OS..
Is there a way to boot it in vmware??

how about not removing any virtual hardware? USB, Sound and Floppy can be removed BEFORE installing from ReactOS cdrom. www.reactsoft.com has newer interim ISO images, there probably also is a "ReactOS 0.2.3 RC1" release somewhere.
I don't think ReactOS is flexible enough to setup drivers for hardware, but at the same time avoid loading drivers for hardware which is removed afterwards.
nice test though :)

There is a problem with the Inital boot video driver under VMware 4.5.2. I have not time to look in to the issue or post a bug report but we will try to get this fixed before the next release. For now please rename C:\reactos\system32\drivers\bootvid.sys to something else and it will work.
Sorry for the problem.
Thanks Steven
