Hi there,
Have you tried setting the operating system to something other than Windows XP? I am not
very knowable of ROS internals but I am under the impression that some components of ROS
are modeled after older versions of windows. I believe, for instance that the driver stack
is modeled after NT4. I also recall that I had a better experience with ROS in VB when I
set the guest OS to Win2k. But then ROS & VB have both changed since I last tried this
some months ago. I would just generally recommend messing with the settings and removing
unnecessary devices from the configuration.
However I could quite possibly have no idea what I an talking about, and those more
intelligent than I will probably correct my advice and substitute better advice.
