Hi and welcome as well!
For starting with the source code, you should read the "Building ReactOS" wiki page (http://www.reactos.org/wiki/index.php/Building_ReactOS). When you're able to build your own ReactOS ISO's, you can start digging into the source code.
Been there, done that. The problem is, I don't know what kind of stuff is most needed and what should be done for the project, understand?
If you added a feature, fixed something, etc. and want it
to be included into ReactOS, please submit a patch (refer to http://www.reactos.org/wiki/index.php/Submitting_Patches).
For other questions, you can also ask people on the #reactos IRC channel (see http://www.reactos.org/en/community_irc.html).
Best regards,
Colin Finck

I also a C/C++ developer (with a few theoretical knowlegde about OS programming but no pratice) and would like to begin helping the project. I looked a litle to the source an really didn't know where to start/what to do. Anyone can help me?
