Have you checked to see if the mentioned file is actually in your tree ?

Also are you building on c: along with running an operating system on there?
I would have thought that would not be enough disk space

I was compiling ReactOS 0.2.5 today.  I typed "make" and it went swimmingly 
when it threw this up at me:

kernel32: [CC] 	misc/console.c
make (e=2): The system cannot find the file specified.
make [1]: ***[misc/time.o] Error 2
make: ***[kernel32] Error 2

The system's a Compaq Deskpro 4000, with C: being a 1.25 GB hard-drive and 
with 64 MB.

What do people suggest I do?  (Besides updating to 0.2.6?)

He's right, make sure the file exists (it should) also, beware that a 
fully compiled tree including object files, etc. weighs in at around 400 
mb.  On FAT16/32 systems this may even be more.

When Wesley said 'with 64MB' I think he meant RAM, not available hard 
disk space.

Thanks everyone.  i've put the source tree on D:\, which is 2.5 GB is size, 
and intend using that.

What a bummer, though!.  Still, I got a fair way through it. ;)

YAMG = Yet Another Microsoft Glitch

lasts for hours compiling under MS Win95, then runs headlong into a page fault 
centered around *sym files.  Of course, you let "make" harakari and then 
"make" from inside the relevant directory itself.  :-)

I've taken to "make"ing sections and will then do an overall
"make" for the 
whole kit and caboodle once I've finished.

The fun things you learn about Microsoft!  "Where do you want to go today?"  
"I never get lost - people always tell me where to go!"  ;)
