Well not anymore.
This may not be a Wiki, but I can make it look like one.
All I have to do is comply strictly with the ReactOS Code of Conduct.
I think ROS-User-Issues or RUI is pretty clear.
If you need to talk code then got to:
ROS-Programmer-Issues or RPI.
We already have Mingw-Msys for those don't just read or talk code,
but seriously do it.
Kicking off RUI.
I recommend taking a look at http://www.pcpitstop.com
He has some interesting things to say about Microsoft.
Not that I agree entirely with him.
Any objections or recomendations are welcome

I'm a little confused.
And am now dumping Telstra, Bigpond.net.au Webmail,
because they are too incompetant to remain in business.
Although I have unbolted IE and everything else bar the kitchen-sink, I am still being pentrated by reminants of IE.
They should be made face the Courts, I can't do it alone.
Meanwhile I'm getting familiar with Opera Web Mail. Sigh?
Meanwhile back to the issues...
Hello World,
Kevin. This conversation below is just what makes ReactOS so strong, but there is a danger that it can end in mere talk. I would like to dwell on what you have just said, but on a separate thread: like User-Issues.
I strongly urge "Those Who Are In Control" to create a more convenient structure.
Like say, this: The Begin/End block is to stress the point.
ros-general
BEGIN block
ros-User-Issues
ros-Programmer-Issues
END block
This issue is very important to me, but I'm embarrased that I might be blocking the Entry-Exit.
Cheers and rosuccess

To me they are just a way of trying to get the bloated and sloppy Windows to work a bit better until the alternative is mature enough to use all day, every day. When ReactOS achieves this I will dump MS Windows, but till then I try to make the best of it. In a way, the fact that these system management utilities exist can help the ReactOS project 'get it right' where Microsoft failed.

Maybe MS-DOS, yes, and possibly IBM's PC-DOS in the near future - but there are several other DOS variants, DR-DOS and Freedoms for example, which have a useful place in the grand scheme of things. Like the way Partition Magic uses DR-DOS to provide an op system to boot from floppy. Very useful on either new, virgin machines or when you've got hard drive problems.

Well, there it is Kevin, suddenly a Window of opportunity is opening.
It looks good, but I must warn you to read the fine print:
This product seems to go against the intersts ReactOS.
1. So far it supports Windows 2000, XP x86/x64 and 2003 x86/x64 all languages. Windows Vista will be supported as well.
I may be wrong here, but why not just say DOS or Fat32?
2. It needs at least .NET Framework 1.1 in order to run it...
Now I have no doubt that DOS is on the way out.
She is desparate to dump her old following and Australia won't take them anymore. This dump site is closed.
But I will study it more closely and apologise if I am wrong.
My acute sense of distrust (my worst feature) tells me Ms is turning bad luck into another good fortune again.
Why Justin not give then a chance.? I will, I will, but...
Please ReactOS, watch your back (office).
Hmmm???
Cheers ans rosuccess

Thanks K McI.
> .........., he's just reminiscing about old, good, alternative OSes...
Gosh is it that far back already, it seems like yesterday.
My attention is being distracted, by this crazy Webmail behavour.
I have to restart Windows after every two email, and it's driving me mad.
I guess it is payback time for me unbolting IE.
Sorry I'm off topic, but we have to expect that Ms has too much to lose if ReactOS succeeds.
I just know that this intrusion into my computer is ilegal, but proving is going to be difficult.
When I do I'll let you all know about it.
Cheers and rosuccess

Sorry Al, if this message is a repeat.
I just discovered a serious security breach which is not picked up by any anti Virus or anti spyware, or malware.....It is so simple it is mind boggling.
Anyway back to business.
I thank LitePC.com for the means to discover it.
-------------------------------------------------------
Yes Al, I agree.
I remember when Be and the BeBox were first announced. Wow ! I was so excited.
A while back I discovered SkyOS and my old excitement was revived.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SkyOS
They had the professionalism and the open source principles in balance.
I also stumbled on Haiku too.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiku_(operating_system)
Only now is the whole thing coming together in my aging head.
My excitement is returning (again).
But I am still worried that autocracy of professionalism is a two edged sword.
Open and close are not only heterogenous concepts, they are also homogenous.
Each being the condition of the existence of the other.
I remain optimistic though.
Cheers and rosuccess

This is just a note to say that the ReactOS Project and the Haiku
Project are the two most exciting projects in the Open Source Community today!
You guys are creating a historic piece of software here...
When you get to the 1.0 Release, you will have done something NEVER
done before.
Clone the most popular OS ever written.
And I look forward to that first boot of 1.0
