Hello All, I am going to be in Germany from Oct 22nd to Nov 3. Gvg and I will both be attending LinuxWorld and I want to know who all is coming so I can get passes. If there are any of you in Germany that are planing on attending please let us know now as I would like to try and have you talk to some local hotels and see if we can get a group discount or something.
Thanks Steven

Well to run the booth there is not a lot of space and we only get 4 exhibitor passes for free. Visitor passes are also free provided you register online now and get them in advance. I would really like to know who is interested in coming as a exhibitor and also who is just interested in coming to visit. I would to arange to have a dinner get-together for all the ReactOS devs that will be attending and to have solid numbers so we can see about getting a discount on hotel rates.
Thanks Steven
PS Sorry to crosspost to both lists but I want to make sure that we get everyone in the area in the event some of you are not on ros-general.

Hi,
someone told me the linuxworld is at frankfurt?!
so, if someone does not want/is not able to pay a hotel, I have one bed and two couches left :-)
well, it is 15 km or 30 to 60 min railway away from frankfurt.
When will linuxworld take place?
btw, if it really is in frankfurt, i will visit it, too. :-)
bye
Jan

I'm only interested in attending as an exhibitor. I'm not interested in coming as a visitor - not worth it (travel too long, too little incentive, I don't really care about the expo itself, etc.)
Hello, I plan to go, but I'd like to know some info about it --- maybe someone who was at LinuxWorld already can explain this. KJK told absolute truth, and IMO every developer thinks this way - being a visitor isn't so interesting as being an exhibitor, but we only get 4 exhibitor pass - what's the difference between exhibitor and visitor? Will I registered as a visitor be allowed, to, say, be at ROS booth some time, talk with devs/etc?
Or maybe we should organize our own ROS-devs meeting somewhere :-) ?
BTW, if it isn't a secret info, could you please post a list of ppl involved in ROS who plan to attend LinuxWorld?
With the best regards, Aleksey Bragin. P.S. Steven - if you're looking to book hotels for a group, count me as 2 ppl since my brother goes with me there. Or maybe someone in Frankfurt could offer a bed, as Jan did :-) (joke)

I need a firm list of people that want to come to exhibitors by Monday.
Right now the list of people that are committed to going to the funny farm are:
Ge Myself Kjk
Developers that have said they might try and come:
GreatLord - w3seek - registered but unsure at thi s time yourself Eric Kohl (He said he would like to but did not say if he was still going to try)
Developers that will not be able to attend:
Casper ????
Thanks Steven

Steve, AFAI understand 100% decision is needed by monday - ok, I will inform you on sunday about it, I will know it then. Anyway I've registered as a visitor for LinuxWorld long time ago, so I wouldn't need to buy pass right in the doors.
That's a pity we have so small number of devs going :( I would be glad to meet Vizzini, Casper, Richard, ArtY, Filip, Royce, Hartmut, Gregor and all others who hasn't told they are going.
Ok, thanks for organizing this and helping me get prepared for the event (I haven't ever been to such Expos abroad).
With the best regards, Aleksey Bragin.

I am not going to attend the LinuxWorld as an exhibitor but I might make a short trip to Frankfurt as a visitor.
