Hello,
we have two ways to setup Terms Translations Tables.
1. Every language group coordinator maintains such a table in some format,
say, XML. People who are actually doing translation use it, and if they want
to add an entry to the table - they send email to the language coordinator,
he adds this term to the table, marks it as not-approved, asks other people
to approve this term, and if it's correct, mark it as approved. Everytime
this XML table should be available from somewhere for download.
2. Use ReactOS Wiki for this purpose. I have tried to create links from
Translation page to tables for three languages, and tried to add some
content into Russian table page, but I couldn't find how to add a table into
Wiki. Does our Wiki support tables?
This way all people will have access to the table, can add entries by
themselves (but we rely on them marking the term unapproved first, and only
then, when all other translators agree to the term, it's marked as
approved), and language coordinator manages this process.
I need your opinion about this, what would be the most comfortable way to do
this? I like Wiki idea, but I can't create a good table in it, and I don't
want to substitute tables with lists.
With the best regards,
Aleksey Bragin.
Hello,
after small discussion in IRC I think I haven't made the Roadmap of
translation very clear, and I'm writing this so people knows what we're
going to do.
The 1st thing is - we start from the website, not ReactOS itself.
The 2nd thing is - the process of translating of the website is the
following:
1) Setup website to support multiple languages (me, with Jason help)
2) Extract contents from the website (ezPublish)
3) Giveout the contents to language team coordinators
4) Translation itself happens (including quality assurance, etc, and all
stuf related to translation itself)
5) Plug in the translated contents into ezPublish.
So this is roughly what will be done, and I plan to start real translation
right from the beginning of the next week, so stay tuned :-)
And the last, 3rd thing, is that we need to setup coordinators/leaders of
each language team. Here you welcome with suggestions. As for now, Mark
IJbema agreed to take responsibility for the Dutch-language team.
With the best regards,
Aleksey Bragin.

They are now debatting about how to efficiently implement case insenitive filenames and how to handle problems with different character encodings in file/path names on the Linux kernel mailing list.
Linus is at the position to implement this by introducing some work around-like new system calls. I think it isn't possible to do this correctly without handling any file names in the kernel using Unicode. (be it UTF-8, UTF-16 or the four byte encoding used in unix environments commonly)
NTFS has Unicode support since ages!
I think this shows one main point, why NT has been called "New Technology".
So I am waiting for a main feature announcement for Linux version [23]\.[0-9]\.[0-9\.]+ like "full Unicode support in kernel". :-)
Regards,
Martin
Indeed it doesn't work. It has to be something with sourceforge itself.
Yesterday when I tried to download for first time. They stated that they
were down for maintanance, maybe that broke something with the files...
I will see again tonight and if it still exists then upload again or contact
them.
Greets,
Nick

Hello All,
Sorry I have kind of droped the ball on this.
Vizzini and I were working on setting up a account with etrade bank so
that we could pay for the 501c3 filing. I have been distracted by other
stuff over the past few months. Once we get the account setup then we
can write a check to the laywer and get the legal crap done. I should
have the information in from etrade in a few days and can move forward.
This has just been my slack and I am sorry. For anyone that has sent in
a $50 donation dont worry, your money is still sitting in a paypal
account waiting to be move to the real foundation checking account.
I would like it if Brian or Rex or someone else in the US that is
taking part of the foundation could be on the account also.
Thanks
Steven
PS. I have a new job with a certain Linux company thats going to be
eating the my time but will still be helping ReactOS indirectly even.
=)
Most of my (ReactOS) time in the next few months is only going to be on
the legal side of the foundation and with testing ReactOS. I dont think
I am going to attempt to do anymore development now that ReactOS has
reached a almost usable point.

Hello,
I'm a GNU/Linux user and, unfortunately, also a windouze user... and I
like to use Free Software as soon as possible, so I tried ReactOS!
The installation was done successfully... but there are some points that
I want to discuss...
1. I haven't access to the floppy drive! I think that I need to change
some registry keys for the drive to be accessible... can you explain?
2. I haven't access to the CD-ROM drive too (Sony CD-RW CRX1611)
3. Are the Relatek-based NICs suported? and ADSL Routers attched to them?
4. Can I access my ext3 and ReiserFS partitions from ReactOS?
ReactOS is very slow! and is still having many BUGs and shows BSODs many
times... In version 0.2 it is normal, but I think it will became more
stable in the future...
Hi
I'm willing to help out as much as I can with any part of ReactOS, including
translation (beware, I dont have much time on my hands, but I'm willing to
use the little time I have on helping ReactOS)
I'm not good at spelling or grammar, but I can try.
The language I can is Norwegian and English (but I guess you dont need with
english)
